Instant Pot vs Power Pressure Cooker XL

If you want a good pressure cooker, you can choose Instant Pot vs Power Pressure Cooker XL. But the challenge comes from actively finding the one that suits your needs and requirements. Both products are good in their own right. But the idea is to find the most dependable and professional one while still relying on stuff like quality and value for money and everything that you may need, while also making the user experience exciting and interesting.

Instant Pot

The Instant Pot is a dedicated line of programmable electronic pressure cookers. It has great functionality and it includes all kinds of nifty features for you to use and explore. This is one of the most popular models on the market and it includes interesting additions too. For example, it can be a yogurt maker, rice cooker and a steamer alongside being a pressure cooker. Simply put, it’s designed to get the job done properly and it does do that in some great ways.

The interior of this product is very good. It’s fully stainless steel, so you know that your food will only touch the steel and that won’t have bacteria. Which is good, because it eliminates safety concerns. Some people will have that and it’s totally fine. You just have to adapt to it. The exterior might be out of plastic, but as long as that side doesn’t really touch your food there’s no real thing to be worried about honestly.

As we mentioned earlier, the Instant Pot has multiple uses and it can be used for slow cooking, as a saute pan, rice cooking and so on. While most people will still use the Instant Pot as a pressure cooker, there are those that want some diversity. And if you want that, you will get it quite fast. Which is what we like quite a bit because you get all the efficiency and diversity you need without worries.

One of the main reasons why you may want to buy the Instant Pot is because it helps save time. Instead of using a slow cooker for up to 8 hours to cook something, the Instant Pot does the same thing in one hour. It helps you cook a lot of stuff too, so there are plenty of options and you can do all of them within an hour.

The price point is also ok for what you receive here. It’s an investment for sure, but it’s cost-efficient and it can bring in front of some nifty results and a very good experience every time. of course, if you get it on sale it’s even better. But even so, at the regular price, it’s worth every penny. The unit is programmable and we also found it to be energy-efficient too. Also, the cleaning process is pretty simple, it ditches complexity for something that’s actually super easy to understand and a pleasure to use as a whole.

The downsides to the Instant Pot? It’s a bit expensive at first, and there’s a learning curve to it. It also has some safety concerns and a lower PSI when compared to the average pressure cookers. That might not be a huge issue for some, but it can become a problem in some situations.

Power Pressure Cooker XL

There are many reasons why the Power Pressure Cooker XL products are very popular. It is still a pressure cooker, but at the same time, it has some additional features like slow cooking, preserving, and canning food, as a lot of people want these features. That being said, you will notice that it doesn’t have saute-ing or browning. That’s not really a huge issue for the most part, yet some people will be upset. On the other hand, the Power Pressure Cooker XL does have a recipe book so you have lots of different meals to prepare and so on.

It also has a non-stick surface that cleans very well, although the coating can peel especially if you choose to do this often. Since it has only 60 days of coverage, by the time you will see any peeling it will be out of the refund window.

We didn’t have any concerns when it comes to cooking. Everything seems fine, the process is interesting and exciting, and it will not push you too much or anything like that. It just shows that you get access to anything that you want and you will enjoy the way everything works without major worries. It does become a bit intensive once you get the hang of it, but if you tackle it the right way it will actually be very good for you and super healthy.

It’s also important to note that it has 4 preset buttons, so you can cook some of the most popular recipes that they offer without any worries. It’s a great idea, to begin with, and you will find them quite friendly when it comes to the provided recipes. Also, the fact that you can press a button and then leave the machine to do its thing is very interesting.

Instant Pot vs Power Pressure Cooker XL: Who wins?

It really depends on what you want from these units. The Instant Pot is more complex and it can do a lot more things. On top of that, they are also adding in lots of interesting features, some models even have Wi-Fi which is great in its own right. Power Pressure XL is also offering a large model that the Instant Pot does not have. And yes, the Instant Pot is more expensive (but not by much) when compared to the Power Pressure Cooker XL.

The overall performance is pretty much the same, so the things that set the difference are features that you may need and your budget. Also, the size of the unit might also push you towards one or the other. If you want more quality and a better experience with tons of options and features, the Instant Pot will be great. But the Power Pressure Cooker XL is just as good, and you should totally give it a try!
