We sometimes get stuck on the infamous and well-favored Instant Pot. After this entire brand offers plenty of value for money and is a well known and reputable brand. However, every once in a while, we find a great new model that seems to tick all our boxes. One of these is the Fagor Lux. Fagor Lux
The Fagor Lux is a great looking pressure cooker that provides a whopping 10 different cooking functions and 33 preset pressure cooking functions, plus 3 pressure cooking levels. It looks very sophisticated. All the functions are controlled via a digital display screen rather than buttons. This is accessed by the menu function – there is a button for this. The other physical controls are Stop/Start, Adjust, Keep Warm, Panel Lock, and Timer Delay. A central button controls these functions.
The LCD changes color depending upon the status. It shows blue while the cooking process is selected, and changes to green when the cooking is under way. A series of icons inform you of what is happening, such as if pressure is building, panel lock, and more. Overall the control panel seems very easy to use and well thought out.
According to the product specifications, the entire unit is manufactured from stainless steel, including the inner pot, and each purchase comes with accessories such as a wire trivet, steamer basket, and a cookery book, which contains 70 recipes.
Surprisingly there seem to be some issues with supply. Although the Fagor Lux has been sold via Amazon, supply seems patchy. Besides, the model we found had only had 25 customer reviews.
Surprisingly, the opinions were not very positive. This multi-function pressure cooker obviously has some technical issues with complaints about faulty electric cords, difficulties in sealing the lid, and similar niggles. Overall only 41% of feedback was 5-star positive, and now with the issues of supply, it seems that the Fagor Lux is hard to get hold of and not that reliable when you do.
We love the look of the Fagor Lux and especially the sleek LCD interface, but it is let down by lack of availability and some obvious technical problems which need to be ironed out.

In conclusion
We are disappointed by the Fagor Lux. It seemed to be such a great pressure cooker. It provided a huge range of functionalities and with a whopping 33 preset functions; this pressure cooker seemed to do just about everything. However, we are not impressed with it. There are supply issues, and it just has not been popular with customers.
In our opinion, the Instant Pot is the superior model. You know exactly what you are buying, and you have the company’s reputation behind it. People love their Instant Pots, and although a few people also love their Fagor Lux, this is only a drop in the ocean by comparison.
