Cuisinart vs. Instant Pot
One of the most challenging things when it comes to pressure cookers is figuring out what option is the most viable one. You either have the Instant Pot vs Cuisinart pressure cooker debacle or you find some new models thrown into comparison too. The most important thing about this is figuring out how to manage your cooker and what you can do to really eliminate any hassle and push things to the next level.
Cuisinart
Cuisinart is a trusted brand and they have a variety of electric pressure cookers. These are all about simplicity. The interior is a non-stick one and the important aspect in all of this is that they also used stainless steel as well. This means it will resist any type of fingerprints or smudges, which is very helpful.
You get around 1000W, which is more than impressive, and the device can easily cook just about all kinds of ingredients, to be honest. Plus, they went even further by offering all kinds of presets like sautéing, simmering, browning and much other alike. You can go with a lower pressure or a higher one, that’s all up to you. Having all these options makes quite the difference and you will find the experience to choose a very good one overall. There’s a digital timer that’s fully customizable as well. There are no extra functions aside from pressure cooking and they don’t have a delay timer either.
Instant Pot
Instant Pot is going the opposite way, this one is all about the extra features and it tries to bring better performance. Instant Pot uses stainless steel instead of a nonstick interior. The reason why they do that is that they are handling high temperatures. But in doing so, the unit can be a bit harder to clean. You can also take the place of multiple appliances with this, which is very important. It can be a warmer, saute pan, steamer, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker as well as a pressure cooker.
They went even further by offering 14 different presets and they focus on safety too. That’s why they are coming with 10 different safety features added in there to avoid any major pressure buildup. Things like that will happen sometimes, so having it under control can really make quite the difference. Instant Pot even has a microprocessor unit designed to ensure everything works properly. It’s more expensive than Cuisinart and it’s harder to clean, but there’s a lot more to have here, with great functions and customization, among other things.
Which is the best?
It all comes down to your budget and functionality that you need. Cuisinart is all about affordability, if you don’t need more than a standard pressure cooker, it will do the job just fine. Instant Pot, however, is suitable for those who want to cook all kinds of stuff and access many functions and presets. Both of them are very good pressure cookers, so it all comes down to the functionality you expect and what features you like the most.
