Steps To Use The Stove Top and Oven Converter
- Figure Out Which Converter Fits Your Recipe
Let’s say you’re making braised chicken and vegetables, which can be cooked well either in the oven or on the stove. If your recipe was originally designed for the stove top and you want to use it for the oven, you’ll select the “CONVERT STOVE TOP TO OVEN” converter.
- Type Your Quantity Into The Converter
After you’ve found the appropriate converter, type in the amount of liquid the recipe calls for in the top bar. Braised chicken requires chicken broth. So, if the recipe asks for 1 cup of chicken broth, you’d type “1” here. Next, select the measurement you use in the second bar.
Then, type in the time the stove top recipe said to cook for. Specify in the fourth bar if that is minutes or hours. Finally, select the highest level of heat your recipe calls for – Low, Medium, or High. The highest level of heat for braised chicken is medium-high.
