If you have been using pressure cookers for a long time, you would know that pop-up is an essential point. The pop-up appears when the pressure is built and it has to be released. On the contrary, IMUSA pressure cooker orange popup not right can impact the pressure buildup. So, let’s check how we can fix this popup issue!

Imusa Pressure Cooker Orange Popup Not Right

1) Handle Position

To begin with, the pressure release handle has to be in the sealing position when you have to use the cooking modes in the IMUSA pressure cooker. To fix the popup issue, you need to ensure that liquid content is sufficient in the pressure cooker. Once it’s done, close down the lid and make sure it’s in the venting position. As a result, the popup will start working properly.

2) Sealing Ring

For everyone who still has the popup issue, it’s mainly because the sealing ring is not rotating and isn’t seated properly. Keep in mind that you should be able to turn the sealing ring. When the sealing ring has improper installation, the popup issues will be there. So, you need to open the IMUSA pressure cooker and push the sealing ring down and ensure it’s properly seated.

Secondly, there are chances that the sealing ring is not there at all. This is because people often take off the sealing ring for cleaning purposes and forget to insert the sealing ring. With this being said, you need to ensure that the sealing ring is present and has proper placement. Thirdly, there are chances that the sealing ring is expanded due to extreme heat exposure.

With this being said, you need to take off the sealing ring and soak it in cold water. Keep the sealing ring soaked in the cold water for a few minutes and put it again. As a result, the sealing ring will seat properly and will fix the popup issue.

3) Improper Liquid

When the popup doesn’t work with the IMUSA pressure cooker, it’s because the pressure is not building up due to the liquid issue. The IMUSA pressure cooker must have half a cup of liquid for proper pressure buildup. Similarly, if you are cooking the dense gravy or sauce, it won’t work properly. With this being said, just remove the lid and add liquid to the pressure cooker, and try again!

4) Food On The Bottom

When the food is stuck to the bottom of the IMUSA pressure cooker, the pressure buildup will be impacted and the popup won’t be correct. To work this out, you need to switch off the pressure cooker and deglaze the bottom. Deglazing is about adding liquid and stirring because it takes off food bits from the bottom. With this being said, clean the bottom of the pressure cooker and try again.

5) Water Evaporation

When too much water evaporates from the IMUSA pressure cooker, it reduces the quantity of water or liquid in the pressure cooker. With this being said, you will need to add liquid or water content to the pressure cooker. As a result, the pressure buildup will be optimized and the popup will work optimally.
