While using pressure cookers, there is an ultimate need for liquids. On the other hand, slow cookers tend to make water, given the condensation. If you have to make some slow cooker recipe into a pressure cooker recipe, make sure that you don’t make thick sauces. Using water, beer, stock, wine, and thin sauces is fine. It is better that you plan the timing carefully, so the pressure is properly built while converting the slow cooker recipe into the Instant Pot recipe.
Meat & Poultry
If you are making meat or soups in a slow cooker, it will take around eight hours and four hours on low setting and high setting, approximately. On the other hand, with a pressure cooker, it will only take half an hour. On the other hand, if you are cooking turkey or chicken, it won’t take more than fifteen minutes in a pressure cooker.
If your slow cooker recipe involved frozen chicken, you would need to add ten minutes in the cooking time while using a pressure cooker. However, you can always add more pressure of a few minutes to soften the meat or chicken.

While you are cooking soaked grains and beans in a slow cooker, it will take five to six hours. On the other hand, if you use a pressure cooker, it will take about an hour. On the other hand, if the grains and beans weren’t soaked, the cooking time will be higher.
It doesn’t matter which slow cooker recipe you are converting into a pressure cooker; the food won’t be crunchy or crispy. For instance, you cannot make cheese and milk products in the pressure cooker, so it’s better to separate them previously. In addition, the frozen vegetables cook better on the slow cooker as compared to pressure cookers.
Also, if you can make yeast bread in a slow cooker, making them in an Instant Pot won’t be possible. On top of everything, the canning cannot be done with Instant Pot (it works fine on slow cookers).
