It will help you to make thick and creamy yogurt. Then you need a yogurt starter with active bacterial culture. These are the only two ingredients that will enable you to make yogurt in a pressure cooker without a yogurt option. 

The Process

You need to pour the milk in the pressure cooker and turn on the button so that it can allow the bacteria to grow. Along with it, you need to keep a thermometer with you so that you can put yogurt at the perfect time and temperature. Now the most important thing is to whisk the milk well. 

In a pressure cooker with a yogurt setting, you just need to put milk and yogurt and rest you leave on the stove. But, here you need to do everything manually and carefully. Now when you are at 110o, put the yogurt in the pan (as per the quantity of milk). Now turn the stove off and pull out the pot from the pressure cooker. 

Making sure the right temperature

It is crucial to turn off the stove because if you get over 120o, you may ruin the entire process. Now whisk the milk and yogurt mixture a bit faster. Now make sure that the temperature starts to drop. When the temperature has dropped, put the pot again in the pressure cooker and turn on the stove. 

Now put the lid on and unplug the pressure cooker after a few minutes. As you are making yogurt in a pressure cooker without a yogurt option, so the best thing to do is to wrap the cooker with a small blanket to keep the heat in. Leave the cooker alone for some hours, and when you come back, your yogurt will be ready. Now take it off from the pot, put it into the fridge, or if you want Greek-style yogurt, then strain it overnight.
