Purpose of This Custom Recipe Divider

This custom recipe divider is designed to divide the original recipe to any size of portion.
There are some preset divider functions for you to divide the recipe easily, namely
- Half (1/2)
- Third (1/3)
- Quarter (1/4)
- Eighth (1/8)
- Custom (Divide by any number)
How To Use This Custom Recipe Divider?
- Input or paste your copied recipes to the “Original Recipe” field

For example: Input Original Recipe
- 3 tbsp red or yellow miso
- 1 ½ lbs thin cross-cut bone-in short ribs
(flank-style) - 2 lbs fresh green beans, gently rubbed under cold running water and snapped
- 1 cup chicken broth soup
- 3 tbls soy sauce
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Select Any Preset Divider Value (Half, Third, Quarter, Eighth or Custom)
In the example above, I selected Third (1/3).
The original recipe would be divided by 3.
If you selects Quarter (1/4), the original recipe would be divided by 4.
Same principle applies for Half (1/2) and Eighth (1/8)
If you would like to enter custom divider number, it is possible, I will demo how to do this at the bottom part.
For now, I would continue to show you the result of the Third (1/3) divider.
- Click The “Convert” Button

Output of the Converted Recipe to be Half of the Original Recipe
- 1 tbsp red or yellow miso
- 3 lbs thin cross-cut bone-in short ribs (flank-style)
- 2/3 lbs fresh green beans, gently rubbed under cold running water and snapped
- 1/3 cup chicken broth soup
- 1 tbls soy sauce
- 1/6 OR (0.167) tsp black pepper
This converter will display the fraction in Numeric or Decimal for you to easily identify how much is the fraction
For example: 1/6 OR (0.167) tsp black pepper
Probably it is confusing how much is the 1/6 tsp, with this you can easily identify it as 0.167 tsp.
- Click on the “Copy” Button
When you click the Copy button, this divider would show you that the converted recipe is now copied.
“Converted recipe copied to clipboard!”

You may now paste it somewhere.
The converter also provides an option for you to print the converted recipe easily.
- Click on the “Print” Button
To print the divided recipe, simply press the Print button.
It is now ready to be printed to your selected destination.

- Divide Recipe by Custom Number
