As a kid, I wasn’t really ever a fan of salads (I mean, who was?). But, growing up, I loved them more and more. Now they’re one of my favourite things to eat, and they’re definitely one of my favourite things to cook. I’ve tried making them in countless ways over the years, and there are quite a few recipes that I enjoy now.

One in particular that I like is a turkey salad recipe, that combines some delicious ingredients with the healthy boost of eggs and turkey in one salad. It’s great as a snack to munch on, or as a refreshing meal when I know it’s going to be a tiring day at work. Quick Turkey Salad With Egg Recipe

One thing I like about this salad is that it combines different kinds of ingredients to form a nice, distinct flavour. Of course, that means you’re going to need a bunch of things to make it, though. Luckily these things aren’t hard to find at all. Here’s what you’re going to need:

  • 1/2 cup of onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup of cucumbers, diced
  • 1 cup of boiled turkey
  • 2 eggs, boiled and diced
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon, squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder

Done with your shopping trip, or already have everything you need? That’s great, because now that means we can get started! So, gather your ingredients and start cooking this delicious turkey salad by following these step below. Starting with…

  1. Chop The Vegetables: The first thing you need to do is to chop the vegetables in the ingredient list. That means grabs some onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers so you can start dicing them away. Chop enough of all three to make sure you can fill ½ cup of each so that their taste in the salad is equal. Once you’re done chopping, toss all of the chopped vegetables inside of a large bowl where you’ll mix all your ingredients as the recipe goes on.

  2. Boil Some Turkey: Now’s the long part, if you haven’t done it already. You need to boil enough turkey pieces to fill up one whole cup. This can take up a lot of time. You’ll know that the turkey is ready once it changes in colour and is soft to the touch. Whether you boiled it just now or already have it ready boiled, add one cup of the meat into your bowl with the vegetables from earlier, and move on to the next part.

  3. Boil and Dice Eggs: Just like the last step, you need to boil something. But, this won’t take nearly as much time, since it’s just 2 eggs. Boil them fully and peel off the shells. Then, cut the eggs into tiny cubes and add them into the bowl.

  4. Add Greek Yogurt and Mix: This step is more straightforward, since you don’t need to cut or boil anything. Just get half a cup of Greek yogurt, and dump it into the bowl with everything else. Now grab a wooden spoon and mix everything well until the yogurt gets creamy and the other ingredients are spread out.

  5. Add Mayo and Mix: Once again, all you need to do is add and ingredient and mix thoroughly. This time, pour half a cup of mayonnaise in the bowl and use the wooden spoon to spread everything again.

  6. Add Lemon Juice and Spices: Now you just need to add the final few ingredients. Start with squeezing out one lemon’s worth of lemon juice, and pouring it on the ingredients inside your bowl. Then, sprinkle everything with half a teaspoon of salt, and one whole teaspoon of black pepper powder.

  7. Mix and Serve: You’re pretty much almost done! Only thing left to do now is to mix everything one more time, so the ingredients you added in the last step settle in. Stir it with a wooden spoon for 1-2 minutes at least, and then your salad will be ready!
