Because you always want to disconnect the power source first when working around electronics, you start by unplugging the appliance at the wall outlet.
Looking over the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer, there’s no outward sign of any damage. You move to the bottom side and find that most of the fasteners hides in the base, keeping the exterior appearance clean.
Inspecting Internal Components
After you get all of the screws out (there’s one for each rubber foot on the bottom) and pull them off, and after you find the air intake vents … then you pop out all those screws with a little screwdriver. The trick is that it’s slow, but thorough. Don’t miss any steps or lose any screws.

To get them undone, you press gently with a flat metal tool at the seam and pull slowly trying not to snap off any of the plastic. These are really gripping clips. Work your way all the way around slowly because the clips holds onto the case tightly. Once you have enough pressure in one spot, the seam will break loose. This piece comes up easily and there is no cracking plastic or breaking tabs inside.
After opening it up, you see the inner workings. These include wires, mechanical components, and a internal wiring harness linking the different zones back to the master board. The front plate is still connected to its own assembly. The interior looks compact but seems well laid out.
To see what’s inside, you push the components to one side. You find the plastic housing inside has just enough places for the pieces to mount so they fit together perfect. Everything is held tightly, there are no flopping piece, and it’s solidly built. The engineering is good.
Next, find the Zone 1 and Zone 2 fuses. They’re tucked way back in there to prevent overloads of the circuit. To get to it, you have to take everything apart.
Look for a pair of long, white cylinder-shaped things attached to a black circuit board with a green PASS sticker (which means it passed inspection). Your fuses seem OK, but check to see if they’ve got continuity and change them out if not.
