Samsung is one of the most popular brand names when it comes down to kitchen and household appliances. Similarly, every homeowner prefers the Samsung microwave ovens, given the high-end features and promising performance standards. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Samsung microwave ovens are integrated with advanced features. However, there are times when the fuse blows out, and you have to replace it to resume the functions. For this purpose, it’s important to know the correct Samsung microwave fuse location, and we have all the information to share!

Samsung Microwave Fuse Location

When it comes down to the Samsung microwave ovens, they are likely to have one or more than one thermal cut-outs, which are also known as thermal fuses. The thermal fuses are responsible for cutting off the power connection from the oven when it overheats. In simpler words, the fuses are responsible for protecting the microwave from overheating and fluctuations in the electric voltage. However, with time, the fuse gets blown out, but resetting is not possible.

Having said that, the fuse must be replaced. For replacing, the fuse has to be identified and located. For the most part, the fuse in Samsung microwave ovens is located inside the cabinet, usually around the magnetron or oven cavity. For this reason, you have to take off the backside of the microwave oven to locate the fuse and replace it. However, if you are unable to locate the blown fuse, you can check the Samsung microwave oven manual or a wiring diagram. For the most part, the fuse has a rectangle and a narrow shape.

How To Know If Fuse Is Blown?

If you have managed to locate the fuse in the Samsung microwave oven and aren’t sure if it’s blown or not, you need to look for specific marks. In case the microwave oven is integrated with a glass fuse, it will have scorch marks, and its filament will be melted as well. On the other hand, if the microwave oven has a ceramic fuse, there won’t be any physical symptoms, and you’ll need to use the continuity tester or an ohmmeter. If the ceramic fuse is blown, it will show infinite on the continuity tester or ohmmeter. However, if the tester shows zero ohms, the fuse is intact, and you need to check other components of the oven to ensure it works well.

Replacing The Fuse

Now that you have located the fuse and are sure that it’s blown, it is pretty obvious that you have to replace the blown fuse because resetting or repairing isn’t the issue. So, you can check out the following steps;

  1. Disconnect the power source from the microwave oven
  2. Take off the access panel and locate the fuse
  3. Unscrew the fuse and remove it from your microwave oven
  4. Purchase a new fuse and install it in place of the old fuse
  5. Reconnect the access panel
  6. And you are done!

However, if you don’t have the experience of handling electronic appliances, it’s best to contact the electrician!
