range hood not vented to outside

Range Hoods are there to keep the atmosphere in your kitchen cooler and less humid. There are hot gasses, oil in the air and what not when you are cooking and all that needs to be vented outside otherwise you will not be able to maintain the right temperature in your kitchen and it will be a mess for you to cook at such places.

That is why, you will need to ensure that you are getting the right range hood that is venting outside properly and if it is not working out, here are a few things that you will need to do.

Range Hood Not Vented To Outside

1) Clean the Surface

First of all, these range hoods got a cover to make them look good and that cover can catch too much moisture from the oils burning and what not. That is why, you will have to make sure that you are cleaning the surface properly and use some cleaner that can get rid of the oil for you as well.

This way, you will be able to ensure that the range hood doesn’t have any problem on the inner surface and you are able to get all that heat vented out.

2) Check For Blockages

You will also need to ensure that the range hood in your kitchen doesn’t have any blockages in it that might be causing you to have the problems with the heat and gasses not venting out of your kitchen.

To do that, you will need to make sure that you are cleaning the range hood regularly and not only that, but you will need to make sure that you check on the all the blockages in the pipes connected to your hood range as well and that will clear out any obstacles that might be there stopping your range hood from venting. This way, you will be able to make your range hood work out perfectly.

3) Check the Fans

You will also need to make sure that you are checking on the fans as there are two fans required on the hood range to vent. One of these fans is on the inner part to suck all that heat and those gases on your hood range and not only that, but there is another fan on the outer end that dissipates all that heat outside. So, you will need to make sure that not only both these fans are running and there are no malfunctions on it, but their speed needs to be good as well to vent the heat for you.

4) Check For Leakages

You will also need to ensure that the pipes connected with the range hood don’t have any sort of leakages on them inside the kitchen as all those gasses and heat can bleed out in the kitchen due to that and that will be causing you to face these problems. You need to ensure that all those pipes are sealed so the heat can only transferred and vented outside.
