With the higher demand for pressure cookers, various brands have come out with pressure cookers. To illustrate, PressurePro has an extensive range of pressure cookers and they are effective for sure. On the contrary, PressurePro pressure cooker problems are pretty common. With this article, we are sharing the common issues along with the troubleshooting methods.
PressurePro Pressure Cooker Problems:
1. Lid Doesn’t Close
If you cannot close down the lid on the pressure cooker, it will not obviously start the cooking function. As a result, the cooking performance will be impacted. For resolving this issue, you must check the gasket and inner lid. Both of these components must be positioned properly. In the majority of cases, the gasket is expanded due to heating. For this purpose, just soak the gasket in the cold water and it will shrink back. Once the gasket is shrunk, add it to the lid again and position it again on the pressure cooker.
2. Having Difficulty Removing The Lid
The pressure cooker’s lid cannot be taken off due to two various reasons. First of all, the lid won’t be removed if the float valve hasn’t dropped. Now, the float valve doesn’t drop when there is still ample pressure in the pressure cooker. With this being said, you need to push the pressure release valve in the venting position and let the pressure escape out. Once the pressure escapes out, the float valve will drop down and you will be able to remove the lid.
3. Steam Is Escaping From Under The Lid
For the PressurePro pressure cooker to work properly, it must build pressure. Likewise, if the steam keeps escaping out, the pressure buildup will be impacted. This issue happens primarily because of the gasket seal and gasket itself. First of all, the gasket must be properly cleaned and there must be no debris or food residue on it. For cleaning the gasket, take it off and clean it with a wet cloth. Once the gasket is cleaned and dry, coat it with Vaseline or vegetable oil to create a seal.
In addition to cleaning the gasket, you need to focus on the gasket seal. In case the gasket seal is worn out, the steam will keep escaping out. For this purpose, you need to replace the gasket seal and make sure that it’s positioned correctly.
4. Float Valve Isn’t Rising
When the float valve doesn’t rise, it’s mainly because of pressure buildup issues. When the pressure doesn’t build up in the pressure cooker, there are chances of insufficient water/liquid or food in the pressure cooker. The users must add water or ingredients to the minimum level. In addition to this, make sure that there is no food residue or debris on the valve. So, just clean the valve and it will rise when the pressure builds up.
5. System Error
With PressurePro pressure cookers, there are various system errors, such as E1, E2, E3, and E4. Whichever the system error is, take out the power cord and let the pressure cooker cool down. Once the pressure cooker cools down, try using it again and the system error will go away. However, if the system errors still persist, just call PressurePro customer support and they will send the technician for repairs.
