When your Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer gets an electronic glitch, you can reset it and get it running again. This could be something like the control buttons not responding or the display freezing up, hard resetting will clear those little mistakes.
It forces the system to reboot from scratch.
The reason is that it makes the system reboot, starting fresh. No need to call for help, no need to throw out your appliance. A lot of problems can be fixed this way.
Step-by-step reset procedure
Unplug it: First, pull the power plug directly away from the wall outlet. If you shut off the socket without pulling the plug, there is still power in the board. Put that cord to one side securely. No more noises. No lights. Dead as a doornail. There are no lights or hums, the fryer is completely off. Leave it alone for a bit.
Wait five to ten minutes.
Let sit for five to 10 minutes. Leftover electricity remains in capacitors, even after unplugging. You must fully drain this electricity to truly reset it. It cleans the internal memory. All those stuck process are gone.
This is the secret to doing this right.
Now, reconnect it. Push down the red start/stop button on the control panel. Do not let go of it. Next, reinsert the unit into the outlet. Keep pressure on that button for about ten seconds.
That will signal the board to start in a different way. You’ll notice that the screen is still blank at this point. The system has entered into what’s called a handshake mode.
Release the button after the full duration.
Then let go of that button. And wait. Wait for it.
Release the button after ten seconds… the display springs back to life. There’s 00:00 displayed on the digital screen. Both zones is all ready. Both DualZone technology indicator lights is on as normal. You can use Max Crisp and Air Fry again. Interface is responsive and fresh. The frozen screen issue is gone.
People think it needs a firmware update. Right away. They call Customer Service.
The majority of glitches is cleared up with a power drain reset. That clears any temporary error in memory. Most units has this method work for them. You won’t need long phone calls. You won’t have to make trips to the store. You’re good as new.
Everything is right on track after that. Cooking functions back to normal. No errors, no lag. Roast, Reheat, Dehydrate, everything respond as expected.
