Many people store food that cannot fit in their fridge using Hisense Chest freezers. The Chest freezers are quite useful to store food for longer time intervals. If your Chest freezer stops working then it is necessary to troubleshoot this problem before the food that was stored in the freezer is wasted.

Troubleshooting Hisense Chest Freezer Stopped Working Problem

1. Check Electricity

The first thing that needs to be checked if the Hisense Chest freezer stopped working is the electricity. It is because, if the freezer is not getting the electricity then it will not work. For this reason, check the plug and the wire of the freezer first.

After inspecting the plug and wire if you find any malfunction then replace them as soon as possible to fix this problem. Moreover, also check the socket in which the freezer is plugged. This can be done by using a different socket. If the freezer works then the problem is with the socket, which you were using before to supply electricity.

2. Check the Relay

Aside from the electricity issue, the Hisense Chest freezer can also stop working if there is any malfunction with the relay of the freezer. As we know, the relay is the component that supplies the current to the compressor. Thus, inspect the relay of the freezer by using a multimeter, and if it is not working then replace the relay to fix this issue. You can buy the relay from the nearest Hisense store.

3. Inspect the Compressor

Moreover, the compressor can also cause this problem to pop up. In the Hisense Chest freezer, the compressor can be found at the backside of the freezer. As we know, if the compressor is defective then the Chest freezer will not work. Therefore, inspect the compressor and if you find any malfunction then replace it to fix the issue. New Compressors are quite expensive that is why claim the warranty of your freezer and the company will replace the compressor free of charge.

4. Examine the Thermostat

On the other hand, if the compressor is not the reason contributing to this problem and you are still facing it then the thermostat might be the culprit. As we know, the thermostat regulates the temperature inside the freezer and if there is any malfunction with it, then the Chest freezer will stop working. Therefore, inspect the thermostat and replace it if there is any malfunction with it. You can remove the old thermostat by using a screwdriver. You just need to remove the thermostat from the inside wall of the freezer but do not disconnect the tube that is connected to the unit.

You can inspect the working of the thermostat by connecting a multimeter with it and if you find continuity then the thermostat is not the reason behind this issue. On the other hand, if there is no continuity then it needs to be replaced.
