It is a simple beginning.

The Steaming Process

Put the eggs in the metal pot. The water reaches about eighty percent of the egg height. It’s snug but comfortabley. The eggs does not touch each other. Just enough water for proper steaming, and that’s all. Pour in some water.

Then you shut the lid. Your fingers locate the control panel. You hit the button marked White Rice. It seems like an arbitrary setting, but then again it provide steady heat. A red message appears on the screen.

Cooking has begun, it says. Twenty more minutes. You leave the counter. Let the machine do the time thing for you. There’s no stirring necessary. No need to stand there and watch something boil.

Wait. Wait for the eggs to cook in the vented chamber. Watch as steam billows out of the vents. The water bubbles gently. Everything seem normal as it boils. Except that the temperature is controlled automatically. No need to babysit the pot. Saves you time.

At this point, when the timer reaches zero, you lift the lid. The eggs are hot. You immediately transfer them to a separate bowl. That bowl is filled with ice-cold water. This is a temperature shock that stops the cooking. For ten minutes they sits there in the cool bath.

This step is crucial for peeling.

This is the key to peeling. Once they’re done chilling, remove one egg and crack it open carefully with a spoon. The shell separates easy from the white. It slides right off into big chunks. No goopy mess remain.

It is just right.

And so you take the peeled egg, set it down on the plate, and cut it in half with the exact same spoon. And inside? Firm. Cooked through. No gray ring. No runny yolk. Just a nice, yellow, perfectly cooked center.

Looks delicious.

This actualy works really well. No dirty hands during the entire process. All of the work goes into the rice cooker. No burned water. No overcooked protein. It is a repeatable habit.

Hated how long it took to make hard-boiled eggs. Annoying guessing game. Now you get perfect results every single time. The Aroma cooker does not disappoint. Quick fix.

Chances are you’ll continue doing things this way. Don’t mess around with pots & pans if you don’t have to. The rice cooker remains on the countertop. It gets plenty of use. It proves its usefulness. It is good enough.

Morning routine becomes easier. Time-saving benefits matter. Effort-saving benefits matter even more. This trick checks both boxes. Should of been worth it.

Sounds weird? Might sound crazy to others. Why would anyone cook their protein in a rice cooker? Results speak for themselves. Eggs taste awesome. Makes perfect sense. Done.
