First, I would recommend that you remove bean from the basket because this will open up space so you can clean it. The tiny pieces likes to hide in corners, and if they aren’t removed, then the container won’t be thoroughly cleaned.
A good vacuum do most of the work for you. The vacuum penetrates cracks more rapidy than hand cleaning, helping you catch fine particles that sweeping often miss.

You can use a vacuum cleaner to handle the mess effectiveley. Hand sweeping often misses fine particle that stick to plastic surfaces, but a vacuum reaches into crevices quickly.
For simple upkeep, you just has to take off grinder portion (carefully). Just pop it open by unlocking it then pull it directly upward. No tools needed for this.
This is where all of the buildup have happened through time and gets ground off during cleaning. You’ll notice that these tend to be covered in very fine dust that will alter your grind consistency. The best way to address it is remove the buildup, which will instantly improve the flavor.
You don’t necessarily have to take them apart to clean. If you’re maintaining the machine on a basic level, you stop once you remove grinder module. Opening the top cover let you view interior.

Removing the panel reveal what’s inside, some of the internal structure and wiring. For most people, that isn’t necessary; you look inside and then close it up.
If you don’t want to mess with the inside just do the bare minimum which allows the grinder to function properaly. Don’t break anything like wires and clips. By keeping things basic you won’t have any problems down the road, simple is usually better. You should of kept things easy.
