Ingredients

Scale

Okay, full disclosure; you are going to need a lot of ingredients to follow this recipe. It’s a pretty long recipe with lots of different stuff being put into it, so make sure that you have all these things before getting started:

  • Chicken breast
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli sauce
  • 3 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of red chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoons of corn flour
  • 1/2 cup of carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cups of water
  • 9 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 cups of rice
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon of soya sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of chicken stock
  • 3 green chillies, sliced

Instructions

Just like there are a lot of ingredients in this recipe, there are a lot of steps too. It’ll take some time, sure. But, don’t worry about the difficulty. Just do as I’ve said in the steps below, and you’re sure to make a delicious meal by yourself!

  1. Soak Some Rice: First things first, soak some rice for the recipe. It’s better to do this now than to do it later and bring a pause to everything for no reason. You can just leave 2 cups of rice to soak inside some water, and let it sit for 30 minutes at least while you do other things for the recipe.

  2. Cut Some Chicken: While your rice is soaking in water, you can shift your attention towards the chicken. Grab a knife, and start slicing the chicken breast length-wise from top to bottom. Cut it into two long and thin strips. Then, start cutting both the strips side ways to make small cubes.

  3. Add Sauces To Chicken: Now that you’re done cutting the chicken, you need to add sauces to it for flavor. Put the chicken inside a bowl and break 1 egg into it, followed by ½ teaspoons of garlic paste. Then, dump 1 teaspoon each of vinegar chilli sauce on top too.

  4. Add Spices To Chicken: Before mixing the sauces, you need to add spices on top of the chicken for extra flavor too. This includes a teaspoon of black pepper and salt each. Also, add some red chilli flakes on top for a spicy kick to the chicken (you can add more or less chilli flakes to the recipe depending on how spicy you want it to be). Lastly, add 2 tablespoons of corn flour inside too. Once that’s in, you can start stirring using your hands to make sure the mixture is properly applied on the chicken.

  5. Boil The Rice: By now, the rice you soaked earlier should be ready for use. So, grab a pot and add 3 cups of water to it. Bring this water to a boil, and then add 2 tablespoons of oil inside it. Drain the rice from earlier and add them to the pot if they’re ready. Wait for these until they’re nearly done boiling, and then drain them again. After that, set the rice aside again while doing other things.

  6. Cook The Chicken: Once again, you need to switch your attention from the rice to the chicken. Get a deep pan and heat up 4 tablespoons of oil inside it. Add marinated chicken to this oil and let it sit so it can cook. Make sure that you cook both sides for as long as it takes for the chicken to change to a light brown color.

  7. Prepare Other Ingredients: Now that you’re done with the chicken for the time being as well, you can start preparing other ingredients that you’ll need for the recipe. Get a pan and heat up 1 tablespoon of oil inside of it. Add 2 chopped garlic cloves to in the oil once it heats up, and follow that up with ½ tablespoons of soya sauce. Then, you can toss ½ tablespoons of vinegar on top. Finally, dump ½ cups of chicken stock inside. Mix everything well with a wooden spoon.

  8. Add Salt and Black Pepper: When you’re done stirring the liquid mixture, add 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder inside of it. Follow this up with a pinch of salt. Now mix one more time and let the mixture sit for a bit while occasionally stirring.

  9. Add Chicken and Cook: After the mixture is done sitting, you can finally add the cooked chicken into the pan. Let this cook in the liquid mixture for at least 2-3 minutes so that the flavor has time to settle in.

  10. Add Chillies and Mix: While the chicken sits in the pan and cooks, you can start slicing up 3 green chillies. By the time you’re done with those, the chicken will have sat for enough time. So, you can add the cut chillies inside and mix everything around once more.

  11. Prepare Eggs For Rice: Bring your attention back to the rice, starting with the eggs that you’ll need for the egg fried rice. In a deep pot, heat up 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. While that heats up, grab a bowl and break 4 eggs into it. Toss ½ teaspoons of black pepper and a pinch of salt into the eggs, and mix them in the bowl. Then, toss the egg mixture inside the pot and cook it scrambled.

  12. Add Vegetables and Spices: You need to add vegetables to the egg mixture. Start with 1 clove of chopped garlic, and ½ cups of chopped carrots. Then, add ½ cup of chopped cabbage and green bell pepper each too. After putting all the vegetables inside, cook the mixture for another 3-4 minutes while occasionally stirring. Once that time passes, finish this step by adding 1 teaspoon each of salt as well as black pepper, and mixing everything again.
