ChefWave Pressure Cooker Problems
1) Sealing
The sealing issues are all about buttons not popping up and the counter not starting. In simpler words, the pressure cooker doesn’t seal. There are various things that you must keep in mind, such as;
- To begin with, you must ensure that the knob is settled into the sealing position
- There might be something wrong with the seal. This is because the seal must be placed correctly into the lid. Once you put the seal in, don’t forget to spin it around. Lastly, you could try replacing the worn-out seal with a new one
On the contrary, if you don’t want to buy the new seal, you could try holding down the handles and it will surely pop up the button. All in all, the seal must be installed properly.
2) Bad Odor
Usually, the pressure cooker smells because the seal is smelling bad. For quitting the bad odor, you must try to replace the seal and use a new one. Likewise, you should always have a spare seal at hand. Generally, it’s best to use the different seals for desserts and spicy dishes. This is because the spices can impregnate the seal, hence the smell. So, replace the seal and it will help get rid of bad odor.
3) Burn Message
When using the ChefWave pressure cooker, users must have come across the burn message. This message simply means that your pressure cooker is overheated. First of all, you must ensure that the knob is set to the sealing position. In addition, you must ensure that the lid is properly sealed in as it sorts the burn message.
In some cases, the thick liquid will result in a burn message. For the same reason, you must not add thickening agents; you can add them once the cooking cycle is complete. Secondly, you must have at least half a cup of water in the pressure cooker. On the contrary, if you already have ample liquid, tilt the pressure cooker a bit, and it will redistribute the liquid.
4) Screen Doesn’t Light Up
When the ChefWave pressure cooker’s screen doesn’t light up, it’s usually because of power issues. First of all, you must check that the power cord is properly installed into the power outlet. This is because the power cord must be properly connected to ensure it switches on. Secondly, you could try replacing the power cable. This is because continuity issues in the power cord can lead to screen issues. However, before you replace the power cable, try to plug the pressure cooker into a different power outlet.
