Pressure cookers are essential for every home but the programmable pressure cookers have become the kitchen stars. For the same reason, BELLA has an extensive range of pressure cookers available. On the contrary, there are some common BELLA pressure cooker problems that might impact the functionality. So, let’s look at the fixes!
BELLA Pressure Cooker Problems
1) Dead Screen
If you are using the programmable pressure cooker and have a dead screen, it won’t matter which button you press, nothing will happen. For instance, the screen won’t light up and won’t have the beeping sound. However, it’s not a colossal issue because you need to attach the cord properly. So, take out the power cord and reinsert them again. Also, the cords must be inserted firmly.
2) Ovht Error On Screen
If the BELLA pressure cooker has stopped working and the Ovht error keeps appearing on the screen, it’s because of overheating. In simpler words, the error will appear when the food starts burning inside the BELLA pressure cooker. This solution is pretty easy to handle, so listen up. First of all, release pressure from the pressure cooker and wait for the float valve to go down.
Once the float valve pushes down, take out the inner pot. It usually happens when you don’t put enough liquid or water in the pot as it leads to burning and overheating. All in all, you must follow the recipe’s ingredients and directions and don’t forget to add enough water/liquid.
3) Beeping
If you’ve switched on the BELLA pressure cooker and it keeps beeping, it’s usually because of overheating. The reason lies in insufficient liquid or water in the pressure cooker. However, before the beeping starts, the Ovht error will shine on the screen. To get rid of this beeping, you need to release the built-up pressure by using the quick release feature. Once the pressure is released, add water to the pressure cooker.
4) Lid Doesn’t Close Down
The pressure cooker’s lid not closing down is the common issue with the BELLA pressure cooker. It doesn’t matter how much force you use; the lid won’t close down. For fixing this issue, you must check the pressure valve or float valve. If these valves are up, push them down because this button has to be down for the BELLA lid to close (it’s important for opening the lid as well). On the contrary, if pushing down the valve doesn’t work, ensure that seal is set in the right place. The seal must be pushed in closer to the lid’s edge.
5) noPr Code On The Screen
If the pressure cooker is showing noPr code on the screen, it’s because the pressure isn’t building up in the pressure canner. The issue incurs due to the leaking lid or improper sealing position of the release handle. In the first place, you must check that the steam release handle is placed correctly. On the contrary, if the handle is in the correct position, switch off the pressure cooker and let it cool down.
Once the pressure cooker is cooled down, take a look at the seal. The seal must be properly placed and it must be clean. Lastly, make sure you’ve ample liquid in the pressure cooker.
6) Unable To Seal
With the BELLA pressure cooker, its inability to seal will lead to pressure issues. So, if the sealing issue is there, we have outlined the possible reasons and solutions, such as;
Sealing Ring
First of all, when the sealing ring is missing or is not seated properly, it will lead to sealing issues. So, just install the sealing ring in place and try again.
Steam Release
For the most part, we are talking about the steam release button and handle. For instance, the steam release handle must be set to the sealing position. As for the steam release button, you must turn this button counterclockwise; this position will initiate the sealing position.
Ingredients
For instance, if the food is stuck at the bottom of the pressure cooker, it will lead to sealing issues (yes, it’s true!). For this purpose, you must deglaze the pot after using the saute function. In simpler words, the pots must be cleaned properly. Also, always push the lid in the clockwise direction as it ensures proper closure of the lid.
