- You have to use the multimeter to check the functionality of the wires and motor. Ideally, the reading should be anything up to 3000ohms. However, if the reading is less than 2000ohm (it’s the minimum), you have to get the timer motor replaced

Having said that, if the water in the dishwasher is not heating to a specific temperature, it will keep working in the heating stage and won’t progress to the washing stage. - Disconnect your dishwasher from the power source
- Locate the metal rod on the bottom of the Asko dishwasher because it’s the heating element
- You have to take off the lower panel of the dishwasher, remove all the wire connectors, and label them for assembling them again
- Now, take your multimeter to inspect the terminals – the readings should be 0 to infinity
- If the readings say otherwise, you have to install a new heater element to make sure the dishwasher activates and deactivates on time
3. Thermostat
The last thing that you can check is the thermostat. This is because the thermostat is important to optimize the temperature, and if it doesn’t tell the dishwasher timer that it’s ready for a new cycle, your dishwasher will heat the filled-up water and won’t stop.
