Many of us have attachments that have been bought along with the product but end up being unused till the product reaches the end of its lifespan. When it’s time to replace the product, the attachments will be wasted if they are not compatible with the new product.
Although KitchenAid is the kind of company that makes sure that their products are compatible with all kinds of attachments, is it the same for Farberware products?
Well, the answer to this is yes, in most cases! However, there may be some instances where your KitchenAid attachment is unable to fit with your Farberware product.
Will KitchenAid Attachments Fit Farberware?
When you are trying to fit in an attachment to a product that is made by a different company, you must make sure that a few things are correct.
- First of all, you must thoroughly read the assembly instructions and determine the attachment and the attachment site’s shape to determine if it can fit into it.
- If you have a 1/8-inch gap in between your attachment and the housing of the attachment, then it’s not a problem and is acceptable. Sometimes even the same manufacturer also offers an attachment that has a slight difference in size.
- It is also acceptable and secure if there is a minor difference between the thumbscrew divot on the housing and the screw of the attachment. There is a small mark on the housing of the attachment and that is the place where the screw will touch the housing.
- The most important thing is that you must make sure that the thumbscrew is properly tightened and does not move or displace the attachment from the housing.
Causes of improper fit
There can be different reasons for your attachment not properly fitting into the product. We have listed a few of them below.
- Having insufficient space in the housing of the product is one of the main causes of improper sitting of an attachment.
- A smaller knob can also be a reason for the improper fitting of the attachment.
- Different arrangements or alignment of the notch on the hub rim of the mixer can be another reason for an attachment not lining up with the notch properly.
Ways to determine if the problem is with the attachment of the housing
If you have a few other attachments, then putting them into the same housing can help you determine where the actual problem lies.
- Take another attachment and check if it fits well into the same housing or not.
- If it does, then the problem is with the previous attachment.
- If it does not, then the housing has some issues.
- To make sure that the housing has some problems try attaching it with some other attachments as well.
This way, you can determine which of the products has the problem. However, there is a chance that the attachment is just not the right one for your product. However, in our experience, most of the KitchenAid attachments can fit into a Farberware mixer.
