☕ Tip: Cold brew coffee has 1.5 to 2 times more caffeine than regular drip coffee because of the higher coffee-to-water ratio used during brewing. A 16 oz cold brew can easily contain 300mg+ of caffeine — more than 75% of your entire daily recommended limit in a single drink.
⚡ Tip: Caffeine has a half-life of about 5 to 6 hours, meaning half the caffeine you consume at noon will still be in your system at 6pm. To avoid disrupting sleep, most experts recommend cutting off caffeine intake by early-to-mid afternoon, typically around 2:00 PM.

Coffee is made of roasted and ground coffee beans. It has black colour, bitter taste and a bit of acid. The stimulating effect comes mainly from the caffeine in it.

Decaffeinated coffee exists for those who want to skip the caffeine. Various replacements for coffee also exist

All About Coffee

Coffee itself is not food, like water. It simply is a drink. Even so it often goes with meals.

Because it has caffeine, coffee helps you stay awake, so many folks drink it first thing in the morning.

Real standard cup coffee is six liquid units, not eight as usual measuring cup. Coffee producers commonly estimate “cups” as five to six units. They do that to advertise more cups per brew.

Machine with 60-ounce water tank can promise 10 cups instead of only 7.5 according to eight-ounce standard. Usual coffee cups measure eight units for small, 12 for medium and 16 for big, but that ranges according to lands and kinds. Many folks choose super-sized version of at least 16 units.

One galon coffee gives around 16 cups of eight units, which works for big groups.

Add more coffee grounds for stronger drink seems logical. But that will extract more taste from the coffee, no more caffeine. And the final taste becomes even more bitter.

The Speciality Coffee Association of Europe advises 60 grams of coffee for one liter water. For 200-millilitre cup that is twelve grams of coffee powder.

Turkish coffee deserves attention. Its focused brewing mode strengthens both caffeine and taste compared to usual cup. Coffee surprisingly appears in various recipes.

You can mix coffee with sugar, cocoa and cinnamon. Some bakers use it as main liquid for bread. Used coffee grounds go in sourdough bread together with rye and oats.

Home roasted beans give unusual tastes… For instance those at City+ level had a smell of blueberries.

Coffee liquors like Kahlúa mingle well with ice, milk or cream. Almond milk also works. They perfectly end dinner or evening.

The caffeine in such liquors does not bother usual coffee drinkers.

When coffee prices grow, home making is wise. Fresh beans, cold brew and subscriptions from roasters help to always have good coffee. Methods like pour over, moka pot and French press each adds its unique touch to the cup.

Coffeeis great.
