📌 Power Bowl Over Burrito: The chicken Power Bowl has ~12g fewer carbs than most burritos and more protein.
📌 Watch the Drinks: A large fountain drink can add 86g carbs — opt for water or unsweetened tea to save your carb budget.

Taco Bell is an American chain of fast food that was born in 1962 thanks to Glen Bell in Downey, California. It belongs to Yum! Brands, Inc. In the stores one finds a range of foods inspired by Mexican style.
Even so, Taco Bell really is not real Mexican food. It is more like fast food, that is based loosely on Mexican traditions. Imagine it as a version of Mexican food, not the real version.
Taco Bell: Fast Food, Not Real Mexican Food
Ground beef forms a big part of the Taco Bell menu from the start, but real Mexican cooking usually uses slowly cooked pork blocks for burritos and shredded meat for tacos, tostadas and enchiladas.
The menu list has normal tacos, burritos and fresh items like the Crunchwrap Supreme or the Cheesy Gordita Crunch. There is also the California Crunchwrap, that swaps regular beef for steak and includes spicy chips with guacamole, all wrapped in the typical shell. Taco Bell recently launched three fresh menu spots and brought back two old ones, also the Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider and the Steak and Guac Nacho Fries.
The brekfast menu is impressive, and the rest of the menu has fair level for fast food.
One advantage of Taco Bell is the price. A basic taco and bean burrito cost around six dollars, what makes a nice deal. Against other stores of fast food, that now lean to prices of sit-down places, Taco Bell gives enough food for much more low cost.
The Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito ranks among the most filling cheap options around, even more then the McDouble.
Through the Taco Bell app one can sort and personally change his choices a lot. Orders one places before for pickup or delivery. Some stores have also indoor screens for doing orders.
Many places stay open late, even for eating locally, what helps against overnight hunger.
Even so, the quality of the foods dropped during the years. Before burritos were much more big and full. Today they shrink and consist mostly of tortilla.
Favorite spots commonly vanish from the menu and get replaced by new ones, that differ from the original style. The chicken, steak and bean options mostly beat the ground beef. The meat is USDA-controlled beef, so it stays safe, but one cooks it, drains and keeps it in warm state, what changes the taste.
Typical problems for any fast food. Eating at Taco Bell sometimes works well, but eating bigamounts every day would not be good.
Taco Bell stores one finds in big cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. It fills a space, that no other chain of fast food fully covers. It is cheap, fast and fun.
