Long gone the times when stoves would be simple because the latest stoves are designed with smart features and the clock is one of those features. It helps keep an eye on the cooking time, and you can even set a timer. On the contrary, Frigidaire stove clock won’t stay on has become a common problem but there are various solutions for this purpose!
Frigidaire Stove Clock Won’t Stay On
1) Reboot The Clock
When it comes down to the Frigidaire stove, they are designed with the clock keypad and you can reboot it to fix the shut-off issue. For a reboot, you should push and hold the keypad. As a result, the time will appear for some time and then vanish. Then, time will reappear on the keypad and you will hear a beep. When you hear the beep, take your hands off the keypad and the clock will start working.
For the most part, these instructions work pretty optimally. However, there is a second method for rebooting the clock. So, you just have to switch off the stove and unplug it. The stove should be kept switched off for ten to twenty minutes. After this time, just switch on the stove and you will see that clock will start working.
2) Control Board
When the stove clock doesn’t work, you should always check the control board. The control board is generally responsible for powering up the clock. Truth be told, the control board has various electrical connections on the backend which will cause the inability of the stove clock to stay on.
That being said, you must call the technician and ask them to fix the wiring with the control board. When the wiring is optimized, the control board will work again and the stove clock will work fine.
3) Power
Whenever the stove clock doesn’t work and doesn’t stay on, you must consider the power connection. This is because when the power cord isn’t working or is damaged, it won’t transmit electrical signals to the display and the clock won’t work.
If you see some damages, the power cord isn’t working properly and that’s why the clock isn’t staying on. Secondly, if you cannot see the damages, you should check the plugging because the power cord should be properly connected.
So, if there are damages to the power cable, you need to replace it. However, if there are no damages, just plug the power cable properly and the stove clock will be back on track. Last but not least, you should also check the electricity voltage.
That’s to say because if the voltage is less, the stove clock will have a hard time operating properly. If voltage is the issue, only the regional electricity provider can resolve the issue and power transmission has to be streamlined.
4) Energy Saving Mode
If the stove clock is still not working after trying out all the mentioned solutions, there are high chances that the energy-saving mode is switched on. So, you should switch off the energy-saving mode by pressing the clock button for six seconds or until “off” shows up on the display. As a result, the clock will be back on track.
