How to Fix Frigidaire Ice Maker Not Working But Water Does?
1. Switch
First of all, the ice maker won’t make ice if the switch is not on. For this reason, your first step should be checking the ice maker switch. Keep in mind that this switch tends to switch off by a little pressure, so it’s not your mistake. Anyhow, switch on the ice maker and see if it starts making ice. On the other hand, if the switch is already switched on, but the ice maker isn’t working, you should use an ohmmeter to check the continuity of the switch.
2. Temperature
If there is no issue with the switch, but the Frigidaire ice maker is still not working, you have to check the freezer’s temperature. This is because if the freezer’s temperature is anything higher than 0-degrees Fahrenheit, the ice maker won’t work. Generally, the ice maker works the best when the temperature ranges from 0-degrees Fahrenheit to 5-degrees Fahrenheit.
