Pressure cookers are all about pressure created inside the pot to cook the food without the use of excessive oil and multiple cookwares. Various parts of the pressure cooker are very essential for generating pressure inside the pressure cooker.
Using a pressure cooker can be very tricky and sometimes you have to be very gentle for it. There are electrical pressure cookers and they will notify you for most of the things but conventional pressure cookers work with whistle voice so that they can tell you that the required pressure has been reached.
Why Is The Pressure Valve So Loose In Pressure Cooker?
Most of the time the major role in generating the pressure is of the pressure valve. The pressure valve is involved in regulating the pressure because it is made heavy and it sits upon the pressure releasing pipe. When the pressure reaches the level when it can lift the valve upwards to release all the pressure through that valve. But in some cases, the pressure release valve is not functioning properly, which is why there is a lack of pressure generated inside the pot. A few reasons including bad pressure valves, bad lid sealing, and improper lid fitting can cause low-pressure generation inside the pressure cooker.
There can be two possibilities for a pressure release valve and that is a too-tight pressure release valve and the other one is too loose pressure release valves.
Tight Pressure Release Valve
The pressure release valves are supposed to be on top of the vent Pipe and they are made to bobble there. If the pressure release valves do not bobble on the top of the lid then it means that the natural pressure will not be able to release properly. This happens when the valve gets jammed and it gets jammed when there is some kind of clog of food inside the pressure valve. To resolve this problem you will have to clean your pressure release valve and wash the lid thoroughly around the valve. Make sure you clean all the food particles that have clogged the vent pipe.
Too Loose Pressure Release Valve
The pressure release valves are commonly loose but a too loose pressure release valve means you haven’t put it properly OR it is designed to be loose. However, some people find their normal pressure release valve too loose but that is normal because they are supposed to bubble and not remain fixed at a certain position.
However, the pressure relief valves are commonly found very loose because they are made with the intention that they can be easily bobbling on the vent pipe of a pressure cooker. According to the International standard of making pressure cookers in the world are made very technically so that they can release the appropriate amount of pressure out of the pot otherwise, it can result in hazardous situations. They are made to sit in a way that they can create a proper SEAL and the other time they can release the pressure as well as being a VENT.
