Setting the Brew Time

I have it programmed to start brewing at 1:45 a.m. Which seems like a pretty quiet time to get started.
Setting the hour is easy; you press the Hour button again and again, scrolling through the digits until you get to the right one for your morning ritual. Then you go into the minutes. You press the Minute button and adjust to the minute when you want it to start.
Is it perfect? Okay. And once you do, you click the Auto key, which will lock everything in. Your settings is stored and the machine just waits for the clock to hit that specific mark.
To confirm your programming without changing the current time, you simply push the Program button again and it displays the scheduled brew time. You’re able to double-check that you didn’t mistype anything. Then you can reprogram back to the present time with another push of the Auto button. This is handy if you simply wish to know the time.
To activate the program, the last step is to hit the AUTO button to enable the schedule. A steady green light will illuminate beside the button and this light mean the program has been turned on.
It provides a clear visual cue.
Now you can press the AUTO button again, which shuts off the green light. That means that your schedule is off. And if you want to turn it off, you don’t have to unplug it. Just turn off the schedule. It’s a simple on/off switch with no light, and you just know the timer isn’t on by looking at it.
Even though the light is on, when you’re done, you put your carafe back on the base. Then the water heat up. You don’t have to stand there and wait for it because the timer is running behind the scenes.
The timer counts down in the background while the machine is heating water. It will show you when the brew will start. While it’s heating, you don’t even need to look at the display, but it will confirm what time you set it for. So it confirms the time you set for the brewing to start.
So all of this happens very quickly; it is faster than making coffee in the morning without it. It saves you energy and time and it’ll be useful for most people.
You might hit the wrong button the first time, and it might take a while the first time. And it won’t stick until you hit Auto and then you realize you never even hit Auto to confirm it. It is an easy fix.
Then next time you just hit Program, set the time, and it’s done and it works every time. You don’t screw around with it much and when it’s programmed you leave it alone. You set it and forget it. Press program, set the time, hit Auto. The green light goes on and you know it’s set.
