Opening your Samsung microwave‘s door and completing the cooking cycle result in beeping. While some people like that feature to know when their meal is done, others would rather focus on what they’re doing in the kitchen.
Thankfully, there isn’t any need to contact customer service or pop open your microwave, just turn the beep off. It doesn’t take long and you won’t even need the instruction manual. Just use this button combination.
How to disable the beep
First check out the control panel. There is a lot of buttons on moddern appliances; Auto Cook, Malaysian Menu and so forth. They don’t realy make sense just by looking at them.
It’s actually a two-button operation where you hold both down simultaneously. It is not one then the other. That makes all the difference for it to does its thing.
First locate the Down arrow key and the Eco button. The Eco button will be close to the Start or Stop controls. Position one finger over each key. Together, press them hard and keep them pressed down momentary. Keep an eye on the digital display.
Wait for something to change on the screen.
Press a different button. Nothing but silence. Success! Turning off the sound works. And the lack of sound also reduce any distraction in the kitchen.
Want the sound enabled? That’s cool, just turn it on. Maybe you have kids or are unable to remember that your beeps were turned off.
To revert simply use the same button combo. Push the Down button and then the Eco button simultaneously.
Keep ’em pressed as you would normally. It’ll do it right away.
When it’s switched back on, the “Off” will vanish and be replaced by the word “On.” That tells you that sound has been re-enabled. Push a button, and the beep resumes.
It’s a two-way toggle. Easy to turn on or off. It is hidden away but available nonetheless. No digging around menus; no holding down buttons for ten seconds.
There’s also an on/off setting to turn the beeping on and off (yes, that has been a missing feature in other brands). It’s very simple with just a quick push of two button.
Control how loud the microwave gets. If you like your cooking nice and quiet then you’re good to go. You should of tried this sooner.
