Start up the De’Longhi Magnifica Smart espresso machine, allow it to light up, and settle down. With no grinding adjustment required, this are going to be easy, as long as you know what buttons to push.
Open the hopper and slide in the included funnel. Avoid putting coffee directy into your bean reservoir. Insert a scoopful (exactly one) of ground coffee.
Brewing Your Coffee
Don’t overdo it; the thing will jam up, which ain’t good for cleaning. Don’t do less than a scoop or you might gets an error message. The one-scoop rule should of been enough.
Find your way to the control panel. Find the silver dial. It’s set by default on beans, but we don’t want that. We want pre-ground mode.
Go ahead, twist the dial. Select Pre-Ground Mode. Now machine completely avoids running the grinder. It saves noise. It saves time. And now this system expect pre-ground coffee. No more grinding sound. It is just quiet prep.
Push the button to get your drink. Long? Coffee? Espresso? Double shot espresso? Whatever you want, push it.
The machine begin its process of brewing. Water drips onto the coffee puck. Extraction proceed quietly. Observe as cup fills. It does not take longer than expected. Eventually a proper shot emerges. Or maybe it is a long cup.
No need to grind beforehand so workflow is simpler. Taste is unaffected. Get yourself a mug. Get one that matches your style. Hot and prepared coffee awaits.
There’s nothing wrong with using pre-ground coffee. It simply shifts the workflow a bit, there’s no need to grind your own beans. It gives you more options. It is easy to use different roasts.
Keep in mind that one-scoop limitation. Don’t neglect changing over to other mode. That’s all of the rules. The rest are automatic.
