Ingredients

Scale

Chicken wings are hard to make good. They can be a little bland, tasteless in some parts, or just disappointing in other ways. But if you follow my recipe, I promise you won’t have any of these complaints if you do as I say. So, start by getting the ingredients I mentioned below!

  • Oil
  • 500 Grams of Chicken Wings
  • 1/2 Cup of Soya Sauce
  • 2 Cloves of Chopped Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Sesame Seeds

These are the only ingredients you’re going to need. It’s actually a really simple recipe that doesn’t involve a lot of work either. Just carefulness and patience, because wings can be tricky to get right. So, now that you know what you need to get, gather all the ingredients so we can finally start cooking.

Instructions

There are multiple steps to this recipe, but none of them are really difficult. It’s just simple things you need to do, but how you do it is what matters. So, just follow everything I’ve detailed here to make sure you can make these teriyaki wings as delicious as they can be!

There are multiple steps to this recipe, but none of them are really difficult. It’s just simple things you need to do, but how you do it is what matters. So, just follow everything I’ve detailed here to make sure you can make these teriyaki wings as delicious as they can be!

  1. Warm Up A Pan: Of course, before anything else, you need to warm up a pan so that it’s ready for cooking. To do this, light up the stove and heat up some oil inside of a pan. You’ll know that everything’s ready to start cooking when the oil is starting to bubble up a little.

  2. Cook The Chicken: Once the pan is ready, you can add 500 grams of chicken wings to it so that it can start cooking. After you add all the pieces, let them sit for a little bit before moving them around with a wooden spoon frequently. You’ll want to make sure that they’re tender and equally cooked on all sides before you move on to the next step. You’ll be able to tell when it’s ready by looking out for a change in color as it cooks. After that’s done, you can take the chicken out of the pan and store it away for later use.

  3. Cook Garlic in Soya Sauce: After the chicken is cooked and set aside, you’ll need a pan again in which you can add ½ cup of soya sauce and let it heat up. After it starts to get warm, you can add 2 cloves of chopped garlic inside the pan. Let these pieces of garlic cook inside the soya sauce for a bit until you can tell they start soaking the sauce in. Make sure to move it around so that all sides cook equally as well.

  4. Add Other Ingredients and Mix: After the garlic is done cooking for a little bit, you can start adding the other necessary things inside the pan. This includes 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Put these inside and mix it in until you notice that most of it has melted and gelled with the mixture. Then, add 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds for some extra flavor and mix everything together one more time so that it blends together.

  5. Add Wings and Cook: Get the chicken wings that you cooked earlier and put them all inside the pan with your ingredients from the last step. Make sure that you coat these wings in the liquid mixture that was being cooked as well as you can, cooking all of the chicken on every side in the process. Do this for 3-4 minutes at least, so that the chicken has had time to absorb the flavor from the ingredients, and has a nice coating to it. Once that time passes, you can take the wings out and serve them up!

Notes

  • These wings have a pretty nice flavor to them on their own. But, the only thing better than good wings, are good wings that have an even better sauce to compliment them. That’s why I wanted to add this little extra bit to share a few of my favorite sauces to have on the side with this recipe so it tastes even better. You can try some of them out too if you like sauce with your wings.
  • If you’re looking for a sweet and salty combination that’ll compliment these teriyaki wings, get some soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and a little bit of oyster sauce. Combine all these ingredients together to create a tangy wing sauce which goes great with this recipe.
  • Other than that, something I highly recommend for those that enjoy spice is plain old hot sauce, or hot buffalo sauce for those that really want a mean kick to these wings. Both of those are infamously good with most types of chicken wings, and you can try them out if you’re feeling brave.
  • A sweeter and flavorful option I love is a mixture of chipotle and maple sauce, which has a really nice taste of its own. That also compliments the chicken wings really well, and is something I recommend if you have both those things lying around.
  • Whether you try any of these sauces or have the teriyaki wings on their own, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them if you followed my recipe!
