How To Change Light Bulb On Zephyr Range Hood?
Changing the light bulb on the range hood seems frustrating, but if you follow the correct steps, you will be able to complete the bulb replacement within a few minutes and with ease.
- To begin with, you need to determine the type of bulb that you need to purchase and replace. This is because different Zephyr range hoods use different types of bulbs, such as LEDs, incandescent, and halogen bulbs. You can check the sticker on the range hood to be sure, as it has various recommendations regarding the bulb type
- The second step is to disconnect your Zephyr range hood from power, and it’s recommended to turn off the breaker
- Then, remove the light cover from the range hood, and you might have to unscrew the nuts to expose the bulb
- When the light bulb is exposed, you can use the pliers to remove the old light bulb and discard it
- Before you install the new bulb, make sure that you check the power cord and replace it if you see some damage
- When the old bulb is removed, and the power cord has been replaced (if needed), you need to clean the area. Keep in mind that there must be no metal or glass fragments left behind from the old bulb. In case you see some fragments, pick them off carefully
- Once the cleaning is done, install a new light bulb with the help of pliers. You must check the polarity of the light bulb and make sure the metal contacts on the base of the bulb are properly aligned with the socket’s metal contacts. If they are not aligned, you can rotate the light bulb
- When the new bulb is properly installed, screw in the light cover and make sure you have tightened up the screws in place
- Now that all the steps are connected, you can reconnect the power cable to the Zephyr range hood and switch on the breaker. Then, just test the new bulb and see if it works. If the bulb lights up, you are done!
