An air fryer is a recent invention in the world of kitchenware. It is safe to say that air fryers have been among some of the most popular appliances being brought recently.
Not only is cooking in an air fryer a healthy option, but it is also time-saving and easier on the pocket once you’ve invested.
The air fryer cooks food using the heat that comes from the hot air inside the air fryer. The fan inside then circulates the heat throughout the air fryer.
However, it’s hard to cook food if the fan inside the air fryer won’t work. Here are a few reasons why your Nuwave air fryer fan won’t switch on
NuWave Air Fryer Fan Not Working
1) Make sure you’re connected to the power supply:
The air fryer needs electricity to operate correctly and turn on the fan. In case of a circuit break or circuit trip, the air fryer won’t turn on, and subsequently, the fan won’t either.
There is a chance there might be nothing wrong with the fan, and it’s just an inadequate voltage supply. However, make sure the air fryer gets a proper electric supply if you want it to function correctly.
2) Recheck if the socket and the plug are in good health:
At times the socket is malfunctioning, and that prevents the air fryer from switching on. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the socket and the air fryer plug to make sure they are functional.
To check if the socket is working correctly, insert another kitchen appliance and see if it gets operated. If other kitchen appliances are working on the socket, the socket is working correctly, and there is something wrong inside the air fryer.
3) Activate the operating switch:
Activating the operating switch is necessary; if you don’t activate it, the fan inside the air fryer won’t function. Carefully read all the steps in the instruction manual to activate the operating switch.
4) Did you accidentally put on the timer:
Another reason why the fan inside your Nuawave air fryer won’t switch on could be because of the timer. You might have accidentally put on the timer. Once the timer settings are activated, the fan inside the air fryer doesn’t switch until the timer is switched off.
5) Make sure there’s nothing stuck in the fan:
At times food tends to get stuck inside the fan and acts as a hindrance. Ensure to properly clean the air fryer and remove any food particles that might restrict the air fryer fan from functioning correctly.
To remove the stuck food, first, switch off the air fryer and disconnect the electricity source. Then use a wooden or plastic spoon to reach any tough spots.
6) Is the thermostat intact?
A thermostat controls the internal temperature inside most kitchen appliances. The thermostat comes with inbuilt settings and switches the fan off if the air fryer gets overheated. In addition, the internal auto-shut feature makes the use of the thermostat a reliable feature.
In case there’s something wrong with the thermostat, the air fryer fan won’t turn on.
