Ninja kitchen appliances have grown in popularity over time because of their good build quality and cool features. Their products are easy to use and have excellent accessibility that makes using them a joy.
One such Ninja product is the Ninja Air Fryer. The air fryer comes with the ability to crisp, reheat, roast, and even dehydrate.
If you have gotten yourself a Ninja air fryer but have been facing the “E” message problem, we have some solutions for you.
How to Fix Ninja Air Fryer “E” Message Appears On Display Screen?
The E codes are error codes, often followed by a number, for instance, E1. Contrary to what users believe, it does not appear because they did something wrong.
Rather, it appears when the air fryer experiences internal problems, such as issues within the electrical circuit.
Different E-Messages
1. E1
Inoperable air fryer temperature, inappropriate baking tin material, and a circuit malfunction are some of the many reasons why your Ninja air fryer may show the E1 error message.
To get rid of the E1 error message, you will have to make sure your baking tray is placed right and that it is inserted properly into the fryer.
If your air fryer had been stored in a cool place previously, let it come down to normal temperature first and then start it again. The air fryer must be unplugged for you to do that.
2. E2
Ninja air fryers may display the E2 error message when there is a thermal sensor failure. As the name suggests, the thermal sensor monitors the temperature of the air fryer as food is cooked.
Thermal sensor failure is caused when the exhaust port has been blocked. Usually, it is not the sensor that has malfunctioned but its fuse. You can get it replaced with a fuse of a similar rating, and that should fix your air fryer.
A good practice is to keep your air fryer at least 15 cm away from the wall and to regularly check that there is nothing stuck in the exhaust.
3. E3
Overheating is the leading reason for the E3 error message in Ninja air fryers. Your air fryer may overheat due to overfilling. When you overfill, air ventilators get blocked, which leads to this problem.
You will notice there is a marking depicting the maximum level on your air fryer. Do not fill it past this marking to avoid your air fryer not working because of overfilling. It is advised to lightly spray oil in the air fryer when there is a need.
Do not add heavy amounts of oil, as it can cause the air fryer to not work. Lastly, make sure that your air vent has not been blocked. Maintain a 15 cm distance from the wall, as suggested previously too.
Contact Support
Once you have gotten the Ninja air fryer checked by experts and they have told you what the problem is, the next obvious step is to get it fixed.
However, we don’t recommend getting it fixed from someone who is not associated with the company. If it is someone you know and can trust, then well and good.
But if you don’t know them, we suggest you get the air fryer checked again and then have it fixed by Ninja themselves.
If your product is still under warranty, they will fix your air fryer for free! So, make use of this policy and visit them or contact the support team by phone or email. We believe they are the ones who can solve this issue the best.
The Bottom Line
If your Ninja air fryer has been displaying an error message on its screen, don’t panic. It is not your fault; in fact, it is known to happen at times.
See which “e” message it is and apply the appropriate troubleshooting method as instructed in this piece. If that does not work, the best course of action is to have the air fryer inspected and then get it fixed by the official team.
